SolarPlus software for solar and storage incentives and rebates

Software for Solar & Storage Incentives and Rebates

Claim every rebate your customer is entitled to, without the manual maths

SolarPlus assesses and applies Australian solar and storage incentives inside the quote: federal solar STCs including the 100 kW to 1 MW SRES expansion, the Cheaper Home Batteries battery rebate, and state schemes in New South Wales and Victoria. Eligibility is checked against the design, the certificate value is calculated automatically, and the deduction flows straight onto the proposal and invoice.

SRES expansion: full-capacity STCs for 100 kW to 1 MW

From 1 October 2026, commercial solar systems from 100 kW to 1 MW can claim Small-scale Technology Certificates on their full capacity, instead of the legacy 99.99 kW cap. For a C&I designer, that is the difference between certificates on 99.99 kW and on the whole system.

SolarPlus applies this automatically when you build or update a quote. An eligibility banner confirms the capacity band, deeming is locked to five years, the custom STC override extends to 1 MW, and an SRES expansion disclaimer is added to the proposal. Systems above 1 MW revert to standard STCs and the large-scale certificate path.

Federal solar STCs

SolarPlus calculates solar STCs from the system size, location and deeming year, and applies the value as a line item on the quote. You set the certificate price; SolarPlus works out the number of certificates and the deduction, and shows it as “Solar STC Incentives” or “STCs @” on customer documents.

Battery rebate: Cheaper Home Batteries (battery STCs)

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries program discounts eligible battery storage for homes and businesses. SolarPlus reads the usable battery capacity from the design, applies the battery STC calculation for the install date, and deducts the value on the quote, the same way it handles solar STCs. It covers grid-connected and off-grid sites with new or existing solar.

State incentives: NSW and Victoria

In New South Wales, SolarPlus assesses the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) for battery systems. It recommends the right activity for the property type and battery capacity, reads the distributor and design values, and adds the incentive to the quote as PRCs.

In Victoria, SolarPlus assesses the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Commercial Solar Incentive for non-residential solar between 30 kW and 200 kW. It works out the location factor from the postcode and adds the incentive to the quote as VEECs.

LGCs for systems above 1 MW

Systems larger than 1 MW fall outside the small-scale scheme and generate Large-scale Generation Certificates over time. SolarPlus keeps the LGC path available for these projects.

Assessed in the design, applied on the proposal

Every incentive is assessed in the Tax and Rebates tab from the values already in your design: system size, battery capacity, install date, state, distributor and postcode. A status chip shows whether each one is eligible, and once applied it appears as a line item on the quote total, the proposal PDF and the invoice. Sent and approved quotes lock their incentive figures, and if the design changes, SolarPlus re-checks eligibility and shows the previous and recalculated amounts side by side.

Which incentive applies

Incentive Who it's for What SolarPlus does
Solar STCs (incl. SRES 100 kW–1 MW expansion) Residential and commercial solar Calculates certificates from size, location and deeming; applies full capacity for 100 kW–1 MW from 1 Oct 2026
Battery STCs (Cheaper Home Batteries) Residential and commercial batteries Reads usable capacity, applies the battery STC value for the install date
NSW PDRS NSW battery systems Recommends the activity, calculates PRCs, adds them to the quote
VIC VEU Victorian commercial solar, 30–200 kW Works out the location factor, calculates VEECs, adds them to the quote
LGCs Systems above 1 MW Keeps the large-scale certificate path available

Custom setup of rebates and incentives for your region

For any other region of incentive requirements, these can be added as a custom inventory item and the discount applied to the project pricing. In many cases formulas can be configured to calculate the incentive. Alternatively, an incentive can be set for any future year in the project lifecycle and added to the lifetime cashflow analysis with your chosen labels.

Frequently asked questions

From 1 October 2026, commercial solar systems from 100 kW to 1 MW can claim STCs on their full capacity instead of the legacy 99.99 kW cap. SolarPlus applies this automatically when you build or update a quote.

Yes, from 1 October 2026. SolarPlus calculates the certificates on the full system size and locks the deeming period to five years.

From the system size, location and deeming year. You set the certificate price, and SolarPlus works out the number of certificates and the deduction shown on the quote.

Yes. It reads the usable battery capacity from the design and applies the battery STC value for the install date, for homes and businesses, on and off grid.

The NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) for batteries, issuing PRCs, and the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Commercial Solar Incentive, issuing VEECs. Each is assessed automatically when the site qualifies.

As a line item on the quote total, the proposal PDF and the invoice, using the official scheme wording.

They revert to standard STCs, capped at 99.99 kW, and can generate Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) over time.

Yes. Sent and approved quotes lock their incentive figures. Duplicate the quote to reassess under a changed design.

Yes, any rebate or incentive can be added either as a discount applied to the project pricing or to a future year cashflow analysis with your chosen label. In many cases formulas can be configured to calculate the incentive.
