Battery Sizing, Payback & Optimising
- Select the plan and set the rates
- Select the battery and visitor Smart Energy Optimiser to set the battery dispatch to ‘All except off-peak’, i.e. do not discharge in peak periods
- Jump to Reports and check the battery state of charge through peak periods
- In the performance drilldown view, check different seasons with the new TOU pricing view to show you clearly which time ranges are covered by the battery
- Ensure the solar is adequate to keep the battery utilisation rate at a reasonable level
Battery Sizing Optimiser
This is a world first, predictive battery sizing optimiser, aiming to make the process of right-sizing fast and effective.
Once SolarPlus useres have an initial solar design set, they simply tweak some price settings and run the analyser to get an early stage report on performance including:
- Solar performance summary charts
- Solar only indicative RoI
- Optimal battery size based on the selections and optimisation mode
- Over and under-sizing comparative battery sizes and RoI to assist with sizing nudge
- Battery performance metrics to help inform your choices, energy and financial analytics
Along with the battery sizing features, the analyser provides fast feedback on solar production and indicative payback.

The SolarPlus design team recently released the new Focus Tech Report to sharpen presentations for commercial tenders.
This new report template is super flexible to adapt to almost all components, system design configurations, smart energy features with the power to impress even the most complex commercial tenders.
